

Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
If you change your mind and wish to cancel an order, you must do so within 48 hours of the purchase and you will receive:
1) A full refund on undelivered, regular stock merchandise.
2) An 80% refund on any special order merchandise
3) An 80% refund on delivered merchandise that has to be picked up or returned.
4) An 80% refund if merchandise was carried out and returned by customer. If merchandise was carried out and Herb Hays Furniture has to pick the delivery up, there will be a 50% refund. All return merchandise subject to inspection. If merchandise has any damage that was not noted on original delivery ticket, the customer is responsible to pay for un-noted damages on returned goods.
Merchandise that has left our premises must be inspected upon return before any refunds will be given. If the merchandise is not in the same condition as it was when it was delivered/picked up the refund amount will be adjusted according to the condition of the item returned. We will credit your Herb Hays Furniture charge account, charge card or write you a check for refunds. Checks can be picked up at our main office 10 days after the merchandise has been cancelled and/or returned, in order to allow time for your check to clear.
Please do not make returns without first contacting customer service and obtaining a Return Authorization
Repairs and Returns - Damaged or Defective Merchandise
Damaged or defective furniture will be repaired or replaced, at the determination of Herb Hays Furniture. Any damage must be noted on the yellow delivery receipt to be eligible for repair or replacement. Merchandise may be returned for up to 7 days from date of delivery or carry out.
All “as-is” items are sold in existing condition and are non-returnable.
Exchanges, Rescheduled and Missed Deliveries
With our exchange policy, you never pick the wrong furniture! You can exchange it for 7 days
from date of purchase. $19.99 delivery charge for exchange in town, $29.99 delivery charge for exchange in out of town delivery area. If you are not able to take a delivery as originally scheduled, please call in and reschedule. If you miss a scheduled delivery, there will be an additional delivery charge, based on delivery area.
Special Orders
All special orders require a 20% non-refundable deposit at the time of selection.
Cancelled special orders will not receive any deposit refund.
Warranty
All merchandise is covered by manufacturer warranty for the manufacturer’s warranty period from the date of purchase. All workmanship and parts are covered by manufacturer’s warranties which supersede any and all verbal representations.
Mattress Center
You may exchange your new sleep system within 14 days of purchase for another mattress set of equal or higher value. Exchange cost of $50 per set applies if your exchange is for less value.
Visco mattress sets exchange cost is $100.00.
LAY-A-WAY POLICY

ALL ITEMS PLACED IN LAYAWAY ARE SUBJECT TO THESE POLICIES:
25% or $25 DOWN PAYMENT (which ever is more) TO PLACE ITEM ON LAYAWAY.
ITEM MAY BE PLACED ON LAYAWAY FOR A MAXIMUM OF 90 DAYS. WITH PRE-APPROVED CREDIT, THE LAYAWAY ITEM BALANCE MAY BE FINANCED. IF CREDIT NOT APPROVED, ITEM MUST BE PAID IN FULL WITHIN 90 DAYS AND EITHER PICKED UP OR DELIVERED.
You will not receive any notice or payment due correspondence. it is your responsibility to make sure payments are made on time and that they layaway is delivered before or by the end of the 90 day layaway period.
AT THE END OF THE 90 DAY LAYAWAY PERIOD, IF THE ITEM IS NOT PAID IN FULL OR FINANCED AND EITHER PICKED UP OR DELIVERED, THE MERCHANDISE WILL BE RETURNED TO THE SHOWROOM FLOOR FOR RESALE. 25% OF THE TOTAL PURCHASE PRICE INCLUDING TAX WILL BE RETAINED AS A RESTOCKING FEE. REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED ONLY BY CUSTOMER REQUEST. IF A REQUEST FOR REFUND IS NOT RECEIVED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF LAYAWAY EXPIRATION, ALL MONEY PAID TOWARD LAYAWAY WILL BE FORFEITED.
